Artist Bio
My name is Dorothy. I’ve done art ever since high school, and I like it. I find making art to be therapeutic whenever I am sick or hurt, and it cheers me up when I’m feeling grief. That’s why I make art. It’s a good and enjoyable activity to do. I like nature and the outdoors. Some of my art is plein air paintings. I enjoy being able to do paintings of nature and scenery that I see while outdoors. It is relaxing and enjoyable to paint in nature.
Program Description
The Creative Expressions program allows individuals with severe Mental Challenges and/ or developmental disabilities to grow creatively through education, enrichment, cultural experiences and more.
