Artist Bio
Nathaniel is a Detroit-based artist working out of the PASC Detroit studio. His artwork often features detailed faces—animals, people, and fictional characters—each imbued with personality and charm that suggests a story. He also creates intricate depictions of architecture and maps, bringing equal character to inanimate subjects. His work has been shown at the PASC Detroit Gallery (2024/25); Office of Disability Affairs, Detroit (2025); University of Michigan Institute for the Humanities, Ann Arbor (2025); PASC at BasBlue, Detroit (2024); Ford Art Gallery WCCC, Detroit (2023); Padzieski Gallery, Dearborn (2023); and The Art Gallery at City Hall, Westland (2022–24).
Program Description
Launched in 2021, Progressive Art Studio Collective (PASC) is the first progressive art and design studio and exhibition program in Detroit and Wayne County dedicated to supporting artists with developmental disabilities and mental health differences to advance artistic practices and build individual careers in contemporary art. PASC is a program of Services to Enhance Potential (STEP), a non-profit service organization founded in 1972 that provides services and support for more than 1,400 individuals with disabilities and mental health differences across Southeastern Michigan.
