Advancing Creative Communities

In the spirit of re:con 2024, we are assembling an exhibition of artwork from Incompass Michigan member art studio programs across the state.

This exhibit is an opportunity to experience artwork by artists with disabilities or individuals who face other barriers, to meet some of these artists, and to elevate them as creators of culture who provide new perspectives into our collective human experience. We hope with this exhibition to spur the formation of more programs that fill each individual’s desire for creative expression, and increase the number of creative communities that support, celebrate and circulate the production artwork by individuals who face barriers.

Submissions are due by October 14, 2024.

We invite you to submit up to 8 pieces of artwork per artist, and no more than 10 artists from each human service provider organization. Please submit a separate form for each artist.

Our goal is to represent a diverse array of artists from across the state. Submissions will be reviewed and not all submissions will be accepted due to space limitations.

The Primary Point of Contact for Submission is responsible for ensuring the artwork is framed and ready to hang if selected.

*All selected artists are encouraged to provide a 30 second video about themselves and/or their art that will be included in the digital version of the art show.
