Caroline Gorte is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling with a specialization in blindness and low vision at Western Michigan University. Prior to attending Western Michigan University, Caroline obtained her undergraduate education in Psychology with a minor in Biology at Northeastern Illinois University. Caroline is a member of the National Rehabilitation Association and Rehabilitation Counselors and Educator’s Association. Caroline was born and raised in Brazil and moved to the United States at age fourteen. She has overcome a variety of difficulties and has found joy helping those in need to overcome their own struggles. Caroline’s goal is to become a rehabilitation counselor and to work for the State/Federal vocational rehabilitation system.
