Yasmina Bouraoui, DrPH, holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, and a Doctorate in Public Health Policy, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Bouraoui has served as the Deputy Director for the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council since 2007. Prior to her current position, Dr. Bouraoui served over 15 years working at the city, county, and state level in the planning and delivery of maternal, infant, and child health services. Dr. Bouraoui has a particular interest in employment for persons with developmental disabilities. She is the State lead for the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) Employment First State Leadership Mentoring Program (EFSLMP), a federal project that provides technical assistance to states to implement ‘Employment First’ policies and practices to increase competitive, integrated employment for persons with disabilities.
