Lisa Bartley is a licensed professional counselor with nearly two decades of experience guiding job seekers in transition to achieve and sustain career success. She is currently working for the State of Michigan as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor helping individuals with disabilities achieve career satisfaction.
Her straight-talking advice can be found in How Hard Are You Knocking? Landing a job in a Rebounding Economy which she co-wrote with Tim Augustine. Her achievements at the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living were recognized in August 2010 by Corp! Magazine with the Diversity Award. In August, 2011, Lisa received the EP Maxwell J. Schleifer Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her “competitive spirit and effort on behalf of the disability community.” At JVS Detroit, Lisa developed award winning programming to help job seekers over 50 chart new career paths.
Lisa earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications and political science from the University of Michigan and her Masters in Arts in counseling from Eastern Michigan University.
